If you have enthusiasm, an eye for detail, a fun sense of humour and a passion for food then these are all the skills and requirements you need to be a Kitchen Assistant.
"A recipe has no soul, you as the cook/kitchen support, must bring the soul to the recipe" - Thomas Keller
Well prepared homemade food can coax a deep comfort within us, the familiar tastes and aromas can match the feeling of a warm embrace. Each and every meal prepared in our home is individually crafted with the individual person we support in mind. Using fresh, locally sourced quality ingredients, our kitchen prepares meals as and when requested, and to the taste of those we care for.
The important role of a Kitchen Assistant is varied, but to give you a brief understanding of some of the responsibilities, you will be preparing food, ensuring high levels of cleanliness and food hygiene throughout the kitchen area, assisting in stock-taking and helping family members with mealtime rituals such as pouring drinks, serving food and laying the tables.
Eating meals together is the time to connect, share and socialise. We are a household, and as with any home, we treasure the special moments we share together, moments you as a Kitchen Assistant help to create.
Our pay rate also reflects how much we value you, we have a highly competitive hourly rate, along with paid breaks, bank holiday enhancements, free training, free DBS, free parking and career pathway opportunities.
