Everyone at our Devon Nursing Home, Heanton had a brilliant time this past weekend celebrating Sam’s 86th birthday. Sam has lived at Heanton for many years and so his Heanton family wanted to make sure he had a very special day.
Everybody enjoyed some afternoon tea and birthday cake in the beautiful gardens at Heanton, as well as a treat from the ice cream van passing by, and lots of music and dancing.
Heanton’s Home Manager Paula Mascall told us: “We all had such a wonderful time helping Sam celebrate his birthday this weekend. We really are a family here at Heanton and we all wanted to make sure Sam and all of our residents had a lovely time together.”
Before moving to Heanton Nursing Home, Sam was a manager at a local Chaplin’s factory and a member of a male choir. He still retains his love of singing and can often be found strolling around the grounds of Heanton with others singing loudly. The male choir that he was part of still come and visit the home to sing for everyone, which is always a great time for all.
